I was surfing around the other day, trying to figure out what to get my dear old dad for Father’s Day. Some of the suggestions were so incredible, that I just had to share….

Here are a few of my favorites!

1) De-odorizing Toilet Seat

Hmmmmmm. I don’t even know where to start with this one…. I can see where the concept came from, but what I really think it says is ” Hey Dad, you’re kinda stinky, and we would really like to change that, so here, have a de-odorizing toilet seat.”

2) Nose and Ear Trimmers

Uh huh……I don’t know about you, but this one, to me says ” Hey Dad . You’re starting to closely resemble a werewolf, … and it’s a wee bit embarrassing… so, here, have some nose and ear trimmers…not….”

3) Flowers

Seriously ?

4) Wireless Weather Forecaster

Ummmmm. There is this new thing out there called the Internet…..Sites like weather.com can do the same thing for free…..

5) Mani / Pedi Set

Once again, this one just seems to say ” Dad, your personal grooming habits leave a little something to be desired..”Also, I don’t know many guys who do their own mani/pedi’s, so this gift could be mistaken for an offer for YOU to give HIM a mani / pedi… Ewwwwwwww, just a bad idea all around.

6) A tie ?

Do you really want to be associated with a piece of fabric around your dad’s neck that make him feel claustrophobic, and reinforces to him that he is still just “workin” for the man ?”

This Father’s Day, just skip all the gadgets and gizmos.

What does Dad really want ? To relax. To have fun. To play. To be appreciated.

How about getting him a hammock and setting it up for him so that he can relax all day.

What about arranging a round of golf for him and his buddies ?

Tickets to a local sporting event ?

Last, but certainly not least…. Why not give him something from the heart, such as a framed photo of the two of you ?

This Father’s Day, show Dad how much you appreciate him, that’s all he really wants.

Many people have been asking me the difference between the photo jewelry products here at lovecharmz and the products you can make from “do it yourself “ photojewelry sites.

1) Durability

At lovecharmz, our photos are sealed permanently in our charms making them waterproof, scratchproof and uv resistant – so you don’t have to worry ! I know, I wear mine all the time in the shower, doing the dishes etc, with absolutely no problem.

When it comes to making photojewelry yourself, you have to buy a sealing solution from “do it yourself “sites which is supposed to make the charms waterproof, but I have to say that I bought one of these charms, and after a few weeks the water started to seep into it and ruined my photo – that was the biggest reason why I started lovecharmz.

2) Quality / Style

Lovecharmz photo jewelry designs are unique, hi quality, modern, sterling silver pieces for today. You won’t find the range of selection of jewelry pieces or the quality of our pieces on other sites.

3) Time

I don’t know about you, but life is pretty busy these days. I don’t really have time to be downloading, cropping, resizing , cutting, gluing, mixing, sealing, and waiting, which are all part of the process of making jewelry yourself. At lovecharmz your beautiful photojewelry piece is just a click away – its that easy.

4) Cost

Upon first glance, the “do it yourself” pieces may appear to be a cheaper option, but once you factor in all of the components that you need to buy in order to make these items yourself, it quickly becomes a significant investment: from printers, to photo paper, to software ,to cutters, to mixing vessels, applicators, coating solution…

At the end of the day, if you are looking for a beautiful, modern, high quality, photo jewelry piece that will be treasured for a lifetime, and will be able to stand the test of time, and the rigors of your busy lifestyle– lovecharmz is the choice for you.

Ok Guys. Now I know you’re thinking , “ wait a second, I just got through Christmas”. I know, I know, but sometimes it’s nice to get a little helping hand …

Wouldn’t you just love to “hit it out of the park this Valentines Day ?”

Now take it from me and my personal experience……Many many moons ago, I received a very special gift for Valentine’s Day from a boyfriend . It was an electric razor and electric toothbrush. My boyfriend at the time was a bit of a practical joker, so as I tore off the packaging to reveal the aforementioned items…. the internal dialogue in my head was saying “ this is a joke, right ? Do I laugh? Do I say, ha, ha, you’re so funny? “

As I put on my best Miss America smile and reached down deep into my acting skills ( which apparently weren’t that good ) to muster up an “ OMG I love it !” , my insincerity was detected, and a monumental fight ensued. You’re joking, right ?

Whereas apparently my boyfriend felt as though he would be saving me valuable time in the morning with these items….. my translation was, “ Wow he thinks I have bad breath and hairy legs” …… (which is SO not true !! )

Anywho…. I am here to help. This Valentine’s Day, just think H-O-T !

H – Heartfelt.

Everywoman wants to feel as though she has earned a special place in her man’s heart, so why not confirm it. How, you ask ? Show her that you remember the special moments you have together. Write her an original poem. Give her a framed picture showing a special moment of the two of you. Why not take it one step further and have a photo of the two of you put into a photo charm bracelet or necklace?( www.lovecharmz.com )

O – Original

Be original . Don’t do what everyone else is doing. Don’t go the easy route and give flower s and chocolates . Or, if you gave flowers and chocolates last year, definitely don’t give them AGAIN this year. Be original.Make her a special candlelight dinner. Give her a massage with her favorite aromatherapy oils..

T – Time

Time with you. What about a romantic afternoon together ? A walk on the beach and a picnic ?. Dinner out to a special romantic place. A scenic bike ride followed by appetizers and wine in front of the fireplace?

This is just my two cents , but take it from me, if this Valentines Day, you take a moment to think to yourself HOT, HOT, HOT

You’re gonna be happy you did…..
