Hmmmmmm. I don’t even know where to start with this one…. I can see where the concept came from, but what I really think it says is ” Hey Dad, you’re kinda stinky, and we would  really like to change that, so here, have a de-odorizing toilet seat.”

Uh huh……I don’t know about you, but this one, to me says ” Hey Dad . You’re starting to closely resemble a werewolf, … and it’s a wee bit embarrassing… so, here, have some nose and ear trimmers…not….”

Ummmmm. There is this new thing out there called the Internet…..Sites like weather.com can do the same thing for free…..

5) Mani / Pedi Set

Once again, this one just seems to say ” Dad, your personal grooming habits leave a little something to be desired..”Also, I don’t know many guys who do their own mani/pedi’s, so this gift could be mistaken for an offer for YOU to give HIM a mani / pedi…  Ewwwwwwww, just a bad idea all around.

6) A tie ?

Do you really want to  be associated with a piece of fabric around your dad’s neck that make him feel claustrophobic, and reinforces to him that he is still just “workin” for the man ?”

This Father’s Day, just skip all the gadgets and gizmos.

What does Dad really want ? To relax. To have fun. To play. To be appreciated.

Now take it from me and my personal experience……Many many moons ago, I received a very special gift for Valentine’s Day from a boyfriend . It was an electric razor and electric toothbrush. My boyfriend at the time was a bit of a practical joker, so as I tore off the packaging to reveal the aforementioned items…. the internal dialogue in my head was saying “ this is a joke, right ? Whereas apparently my boyfriend felt as though he would be saving me valuable time in the morning with these items…..  my translation was, “ Wow he thinks I have bad breath and hairy legs” …… (which is SO not true !! ) 

Anywho…. I am here to help. This Valentine’s Day, just think H-O-T !

H – Heartfelt. 

Everywoman wants to feel as though she has earned a special place in her man’s heart, so why not confirm it. How, you ask ? Show her that you remember the special moments you have together. Write her an original poem.  Give her a framed picture showing a special moment of the two of you. O – Original

Be original . Don’t do what everyone else is doing. Don’t go the easy route and give flower s and chocolates . T – Time
