Sandra Birnie

At 6 feet 2 inches, with long blond hair one doesn't miss Sandra Birnie when she enters a room, but in addition to her look, the stunning founder of lovecharmz is also a very experienced businesswoman.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Sandra Birnie received her BS in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia. Upon graduation she decided to develop her business skills, beginning her successful career as an accountant at KPMG in Vancouver.

Her desire to expand her business experience and follow her true passion - marketing - led her to almost a decade of top notch positions, first at Unilever in Toronto where she worked on the Sunlight laundry brand and then the Pond's skin care brand.

Leaving the female oriented brands at Unilever for a position at Labatt Breweries she began a long period of working on more male oriented brands including Budweiser, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, Leffe, Bass, Tennant's, and Boddington's.

Taking a break from work, Sandra travelled the world with her then boyfriend Douglas Birnie. The trip included two months sailing in the Caribbean, wine tasting in South Africa, a safari in Kenya, river rafting in Costa Rica, skiing and attending the top sporting events in Europe. The couple later married in Hawaii, and honeymooned in Fiji.

She returned to Vancouver in 2005 to work for marketing agency Riptown Media where her skills were put to use on various corporate marketing and entertainment projects.

Sandra moved to Las Vegas in 2007 to join her husband Douglas, a successful mining executive, to start a family. Their son Declan, the inspiration for lovecharmz, was born later that year.

Sandra notes, "due to my years in brand marketing, first to women and then to men, I really learned how to connect with the consumer. Now that I have my own brand I am really excited to put my skills to work to reach other busy stylish moms with photo jewelry that fits our lifestyle."
